VisitScotland Ayrshire & Arran collaborated with Sail Scotland to promote sailing on the West Coast at the 54th Collins Stewart London Boat Show at ExCel. Over 500 exhibitors and 1000 boats were on display. The show ran from 11 to the 20 January with over 127,000 people visiting.

The Sail Scotland stand drew in the crowds with images of spectacular scenery and friendly helpful faces. The stand was home to representatives from marinas across Scotland (including Troon and Largs), British Waterways, Scottish Charter Companies, Shetland, Orkney, the national active team and us.

Ayrshire and Arran ran a competition to win a trip to the Isle of Arran, 2 nights stay in the Auchrannie Spa and a trip around the island with Arran Power and Sail.

Competing with stands from sunnier sailing destinations such as Turkey, Croatia, Greece and Minorca, the Sail Scotland stand represented world class sailing on the west coast and unrivalled views. The Ayrshire & Arran Accommodation Guide proved a popular brochure, as did VisitScotland’s Walking, Fishing and Active print.
