All Aboard the Arran Familiarisation Trip
VisitScotland Business Tourism Unit’s Southern office recently arranged an exhilarating excursion to the idyllic Isle of Arran. The aim of the visit was to enlighten Scottish meeting, incentive and event planners on the activities and services available on the Island.
Known as Scotland in Miniature, the Isle of Arran is one of the most southerly Scottish islands. Thirteen buyers from Glasgow and Edinburgh attended on the day and were delighted to discover and experience one of Southern Scotland’s premier locations ideal for incentives or team-building events.
The day started with expert tuition from Geronimo Events on board their yachts. Once on the Isle of Arran they were taken to The Auchrannie Country House Hotel and Spa for a well earned lunch and show round of facilities. The Arran Adventure Company can provide a wide variety of activities on the Island and provided a spot of target practice for buyers, with an archery lesson. The day wouldn’t be complete without a visit to The Isle of Arran Distillery at Lochranza. Their guide Campbell proved to be an excellent and most entertaining host during our tour.
