Visitors to Falkirk are now enjoying an enhanced tourist information service since the relocation of the town’s tourist information centre to the Falkirk Wheel earlier this month with extended opening hours—and a town centre hotline in place at the Steeple.
Opening hours at the new centre have been extended by an extra half hour Monday to Friday, an additional two hours on a Saturday and, for the first time, Sunday opening from 10am until 6pm.
Visitors and residents alike are now also able to use a new town centre service available from the Steeple, where there is a display of promotional leaflets and a free hotline to the tourist information centre.
It’s the first phase of an enhanced fit-out by Falkirk Council, that later in the spring will be completed with a touch-screen information point and a refurbished box office.
The new centre at the Wheel will be formally launched with at an event at the start of the season.
