Dungallan House

It’s clearly the season for success for Argyll accommodation providers, as Oban gets its first five star guest house and industry awards are picked up by hotels in Taynuilt and Coll.

Five stars to Dungallan
Dungallan Country House in Oban has become the town’s first five-star guest house following its most recent visit by a VisitScotland Quality Adviser.

Built in 1870 by the Duke of Argyll for his summer residence at the edge of town, Dungallan's commanding and secluded position offers tranquillity and superb views to three sides over Oban Bay, the Isles of Kerrera, Lismore and Mull and the sound of Kerrera.
