Loch Lomond Seaplanes has triumphed at this year’s Scottish Thistle Awards, the annual celebration of the cream of Scotland’s tourism industry held in Edinburgh on Friday.
The Helensburgh-based company took the prize in the Innovation category, rewarding their various services around Scotland for local residents, business travellers and visitors alike. Most recently, the company launched new Clyde services from central Glasgow in August.
Winners were presented with their awards by celebrity impressionist and comedian Alistair McGowan at a glittering ceremony at Edinburgh’s EICC on Friday night.
Created by VisitScotland, the Scottish Thistle Awards - now in their 16th year – are widely recognised as the mark of excellence and professionalism in Scotland’s tourism industry, rewarding businesses for their contribution to the country’s reputation as a first-class visitor destination.
Over 200 entries were received for this year’s Scottish Thistle Awards, which are judged by an independent panel.
