Doing it for the kids…can be profitable

Children Welcome Workshop
Old Town Jail, Stirling
4 April

Some tourism businesses welcome children and others attract children by accident or design. Whatever way you look at it, children represent tomorrow’s market today and it can be profitable to give some attention to how you welcome kids. This one day workshop is aimed at all tourism businesses that accept children; from B&Bs and hotels to visitor attractions and restaurants.

The workshop’s key objective is to demonstrate how, by providing suitable surroundings and facilities and proactively encouraging children, you will improve the number of return visits by their parents, which in turn will lead to further recommendations and profit.

The course will therefore address how to cater for kids and also how to entertain them, plus tips on what to invest in and how to stay ahead of the competition—and make money at the same time.

Cost is £45 + VAT (subject to European Social Fund eligibility) and includes a light lunch, refreshments and a resource pack. For more information or to book a place, contact Tourist Board Training on 01294 313006 or email: tbt@tbt.visitscotland.com

The workshop complements VisitScotland’s Children Welcome Scheme.
