PR Update

Media interest in Scotland escalates at this time of year, and in the last few weeks, VisitScotland’s PR teams have been kept busy with a host of media enquiries and press trips for the Argyll, Loch Lomond and Forth Valley area. These have included:

  • a variety of press trips linked to VisitScotland expo at Glasgow’s SECC on 26 and 27 April.
  • an enquiry from The Guardian on coastal camp sites.
  • a photographic feature on the Argyll islands in 'Scotland' magazine linked to the Queen’s 80th birthday tour in Scotland.
  • area-wide suggestions for a ‘Top Ten Spring Walks’ feature recently published by The Herald.
  • arrangement of a walking trip to Mull for a journalist from The Independent.
  • assistance with a Sunday Herald journalist’s trip to the Luss Estates area.
  • wide distribution of an Easter events listing including the Easter Egg Special at Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway, Dunoon's 'Music in the Castle' Folk Festival and Tramping in the Trossachs .

If you have an event, new product or story which you think might be of interest to the media, don’t keep it to yourself! Contact Noelle or Yvonne at the area network office with details on 01786 445222 or email noelle.campbell@visitscotland.com  or yvonne.huntly@visitscotland.com
