Bridge Success for Perth
Following a successful lottery bid and public TV vote in December 07, Perth will receive £1.25 million from the People’s Lottery Giveaway towards the Sustrans Connect2 bridge over the River Tay.
The pedestrian bridge will provide a safe, attractive and direct route over the river between the North Inch in Perth and Quarrymill at Scone. Local authority partner Perth and Kinross Council is working with Sustrans and has set up a project team to examine the options before taking this forward.
The lottery windfall cash must be spent within the next 5 years.
Thanks to all who have voted and supported the project so far. www.sustransconnect2.org.uk.
