Crieff businesswoman Verona Sutherland has proved her interior design skills have star quality - five star quality to be precise.
Hard on the heels of a five star accolade for her first self catering flat development in her old primary school, the tourism newcomer has been awarded five star status for her second project in a former Crieff church.
Verona runs luxury self catering apartment company Mansio which now has a portfolio of world class accommodation in Crieff and Edinburgh and is ranked among the top providers in the country.
Her first venture was the redevelopment of a large first floor apartment at Croftweit, the B-Listed 19th century former Morrison’s Primary School in Strathearn Terrace. The spacious apartment centres on Verona’s old Primary 7 classroom and sewing room.
Having secured VisitScotland’s prime grading for the luxuriously appointed two-bedroom Victorian conversion, Verona set her sights on “The Penthouse” - a three-bedroom top floor apartment in the recently converted St Ninians Church in Comrie Street.
Verona said she is “delighted” to be marked as one of the best self catering businesses in Scotland, reaching the necessary world class standards in both luxury apartments to achieve coveted five star status.
