The Summer Top 10 campaign is a joint initiative between VisitScotland and Highland Spring which builds on previous successful joint activities. Communicating "many things to see and do" throughout Scotland, the activity encourages visitors to browse and explore many tangible Scottish activities and create their own itinerary.
This itinerary - their Top 10 - will not only act as a holiday reminder but can also be entered into a competition so they can win a trip to do their Top 10.
This large scale campaign is to encourage visitors within our key target market -Young Domestic Explorers, to come to Scotland for a break, by whetting their appetite with activities and attractions they may not have been aware of, and making the activities/attractions more accessible to them.
The activity will also communicate with Mature Devotees and Affluent Active Devotees to encourage them to find new reasons to come back and visit again, providing them with ideas of additional activities, so they can try new things. This activity will be leveraged by capitalising on our strategic partnership with Highland Spring.
Visitors will be encouraged to go online to www.visitscotland.com/top10 and browse/select from hundreds of suggested "things to see and do" to create their own Scottish Top 10.
1.27 million 'Scottish Top 10' booklets will be inserted into key titles including The Weekend Guardian Magazine, OK and Heat. The booklet will provide a taster of the many things to see and do throughout Scotland and drives consumers online to get further inspiration from nearly 350 linked activities.
So why not encourage your visitors to get involved?
