Pride and Passion Scotland is inviting all office workers to go ‘Back 2 the floor’ this March. Read on to find out more…

• What’s it all about?

Pride and Passion is challenging those who usually inhabit an office in front of a screen to go back to the front line, shoulder to shoulder with front of house staff, described as ‘a great opportunity to place yourself at the sharp end of your businesses, and experience customer reactions first hand.’

• What’s involved?

Owners, managers and supervisors who work with a team of staff are being asked to go back to the floor and put themselves in front of customers. That might mean waiting on tables, taking guided tours around your venue, booking in guests or working behind the till. Pride and Passion encourage participants to get the most out of it by finding three action points that will have a positive impact on customers’ experience, then tell them what you find out so they can share your pearls of wisdom with other businesses.

• When?

Back to the floor will run for all of March so all you need to do is let Pride and Passion know what floor you're going back to and on what date. Your stint doesn’t need to be a full day, it might be an afternoon or for the duration of an event - it’s up to you.

• What else do I need to know?

Pride and Passion will be mustering up as much interest in this event as they can and to help participants at a local level they will provide a press release template and advice on how to maximise publicity for what you're doing. The main purpose of taking part is to gain a different insight into your business. ‘Back 2 the floor’ could be part of your management training day or might be used as a feature in your staff intranet or newsletter...the benefits and possibilities are endless.
