North East set to benefit from increased flight connections

Eastern Airways will be increasing flights on a number of domestic routes from the 30th March 2008.

Flights between Aberdeen and Newcastle will increase to six times daily while those between Aberdeen and Southampton, and Aberdeen and Leeds Bradford, will increase to four times a day.

A larger 50 seater Saab 2000 aircraft will be introduced onto all services between Aberdeen and Newcastle and Aberdeen and Southampton, and the airline is also introducing 'good value day return options' on the routes.

Eastern Airways has been operating from Aberdeen Airport since 1997 and flies to 11 destinations from the airport - more than any other carrier.

Flybe has also announced direct routes from Newcastle to Aberdeen six days a week, starting on the 30th March.
