Nominations for this year’s Northern Lights Tourism Awards open on Monday 1st September 2008.
Established in 2003 the annual regional tourism awards for Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Moray recognise and celebrate excellence in the tourism industry.
The prestigious Northern Lights Tourism Awards ceremony, now in its sixth year, is being held under the auspices of the North East Scotland Tourism Partnership (NESTOUR) – an organisation in which VisitScotland plays a key role.
The awards are open to tourism-related initiatives across the north-east. Individuals, businesses and community groups can enter in up to nine categories:
- Come to Aberdeen Trophy (CAT Award)
Aberdeenshire Tourism Initiative
Moray Tourism Initiative
Customer Service
Tourism and Sustainability
Innovation
Visitor Experience Award
Manager of the Year Award
Applications are judged by a panel of independent experts and the winners will be announced at the North East Scotland Tourism Conference on Monday 24th November 2008 at the five-star Marcliffe Hotel and Spa at Pitfodels.
