Grampian Food Forum Local Awareness Visits

Members of Grampian Food Forum are invited to a morning visit to two local superstores where you will be given a short presentation by the store’s management, followed by a guided tour through each store.

The purpose of this awareness visit is to allow you to see behind the scenes of a working superstore. The department managers will inform you about shelf-talkers, gondolas, regional and national promotions, deliveries, storage and the ethos of the company. There will also be a chance to ask questions.

The visit will take place on Wednesday 27 August at 9.30am until 10.30 at Marks & Spencers, Simply Food, Unit 4 & 5, Station Square, Inverurie then on to Mitchells Dairy, Market Place for 10.45am.

They propose the following format:

09.25am Coffee on arrival
09.30am Introduction/presentation by M & S Management
09.45am Guided tour of store (partly split into groups of two or three) – maximum 20 persons
10.15am Question and Answer time
10.30am Depart
10.45am Arrive Mitchells
10.50am Introduction/presentation by Mitchells Management
11.00am Guided tour of the newly refurbished store (partly split into groups of two or three) - maximum 20 persons
11.30am Question and Answer time
11.45am Lunch will be available at Mitchells Restaurant (own cost).
