Day of celebration for North Sea Trail

Sunday 3rd September will see a day of exciting and diverse activities taking place across six countries to celebrate the North Sea Trail.

Local events in Aberdeenshire which have been organised to encourage visitors to explore the north east’s coastline include guided walks between Portsoy and Cullen, and a Doors Open Day, which will allow visitors to visit some 24 buildings of interest not normally open to the public.

The NorTrail project is an international initiative involving 26 regions across the UK, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, and aims to create and regenerate a series of footpaths, allowing visitors to enjoy the coastal landscapes and heritage across these areas.
