The eight distilleries and cooperage on the world's only Malt Whisky Trail toasted to its success for 2007 and beyond, with the launch of the new Malt Whisky Trail guide, produced in partnership by VisitScotland - Aberdeen and Grampian.
Moray is home to more than half of Scotland’s distilleries, and the success of the Malt Whisky Trail has helped to cement the area’s reputation as Scotland’s ‘Whisky Country’.
The signposted trail takes in no less than three 4 star and six 5 star visitor attractions, including Glenfiddich Distillery’s new Visitor Centre which achieved five star status earlier this year.
Some 250,000 copies of the new Malt Whisky Trail brochure, which is produced by VisitScotland - Aberdeen and Grampian in partnership with the Malt Whisky Trail partners, HIE Moray and The Moray Council, will be distributed extensively throughout the UK and abroad.
Anyone interested in visiting the world’s only Malt Whisky Trail can call 01224 288828 for the new brochure or visit the website at www.maltwhiskytrail.com .
