Time is running out for tourism businesses across the north east to enter this year’s Northern Lights Tourism Awards.

Now in their fourth year, the Northern Lights Tourism Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and quality in the north east, as well as recognising the hard work being done within the tourism industry to raise standards and exceed visitor expectations.

Individuals, businesses and community groups across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray can enter in up to eight categories, including Customer Service, Innovation, and a new Tourism and Sustainability category, sponsored by BAA Aberdeen Airport.

Entries can be made on a self-nominating or on a third-party basis, and there is no limit to the number of nominations an individual or business can make.

The closing date for all nominations is Friday 27 October 2006.

The winners will be announced at the North East Scotland Tourism Conference on Wednesday 22 November at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
