Tourism businesses across Aberdeen and Grampian have their chance to shine by entering this year’s Northern Lights Tourism Awards.

Now in their fourth year, the Northern Lights Tourism Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and quality in the north east, as well as recognising the hard work being done within the tourism industry to raise standards and exceed visitor expectations. Individuals, businesses and community groups across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray can enter in up to eight categories, including a new Tourism and Sustainability category, sponsored by BAA Aberdeen Airport.

The closing date for nominations is Friday 27 October 2006. Anyone wishing further information on the awards or how to make a nomination should contact the VisitScotland - Aberdeen and Grampian network office on 01224 288800.

The winners will be announced at the North East Scotland Tourism Conference on Wednesday 22 November at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
